Our tours will take you into the heart of the mountain and show you the work being done on the tunnels from up close.
The following rules and prescriptions must be observed:
The tour starts at the Infopoint at the Fortress of Fortezza. One of our colleagues will present the Brenner Base Tunnel Project. Then you will be taken in our vehicles to the construction site and into the tunnel.
The visit to the construction site lasts about two hours. We will provide you with safety boots, hard hats, high-visibility vests and an electronical tracking device.
Take the highway exit "Bressanone/ Brixen" to Pustertal, then turn left in towards "Fortezza/Franzensfeste" - GPS-coordinates: 46°46'36.6"N 11°37'40.4"E
Fortezza/Franzensfeste train station: from there it is a 20 minute walk south Time table trains: BENNERO/BRENNER - BOLZANO/BOZEN - VERONA and SAN CANDIDO/INNICHEN - FORTEZZA/FRANZENSFESTE
The bus stop is located directly next to the main entrance of the fortress. Time table busses: BUS BRESSANONE/BRIXEN - VIPITENO/STERZING
Please note that the bus will only stop at the bus stop "Fortress Fortezza" between Aica and Fortezza on request!
The bike route of about 100 km from Brennero to Bolzano runs along the Fortress of Fortezza. The distance between Fortezza and Brennero is approx. 49,35 km, the distance between Fortezza and Bolzano 52,35 km.
Coming from the train station "Fortezza/Franzensfeste" follow the bicycle route toward "Bressanone/Brixen". After approx. 20 minutes you will reach the Fortress of Fortezza.
