Project company BBT SE has now awarded the contract for other important engineering services related to the construction of the Brenner Base Tunnel. These are not construction works, but technical supervision and contract management services for the execution of the construction works. The award for Construction Management and contract management in North Tyrol went to a constructors' consortium consisting of four engineering companies: Bernard Gruppe, Pini Swiss, Geoconsult and IGT.

In particular, Construction Management is about monitoring the tunnel construction work during excavation as well as internal lining. The Construction Management also monitors whether the works are being carried out as planned, according to the current state of the art and in compliance with the tender specifications. The Construction Management does not directly carries out construction works, but rather acts as stakeholder for the contracting authority.

The awarded service includes the Construction Management for the H41 "Sill Gorge-Pfons" construction lot, for which the execution contract for the construction work was also recently commissioned, as well as for the H52 "Hochstegen" (ongoing tender for construction works) and H53 "Pfons-Brenner" construction lots (tender for construction works to be published shortly).
