For over 25 years, the World Media Festival – Television & Corporate Media Awards – has been one of the most prestigious international awards for audiovisual media, corporate communication, and digital formats.
On this international stage, the informational film “Brenner Base Tunnel 2025” achieved second place, winning the Silver Award. The film impressed the jury of international experts, particularly with its clear and immediate presentation of one of Europe’s largest infrastructure projects, as well as for its high production quality.
BBT SE, the project company responsible for implementing the project, warmly welcomes this international award. Julia Gruber, Head of Communications, commented: "The film clearly illustrates how a construction site of this size operates and clearly conveys the magnitude of the project: from the logistics to the storage of thousands of tubbing rings, to the cross-border cooperation between the two countries."
Under the motto “Connecting & Protecting,” the film sheds light on construction activities that are often invisible from the outside and emphasises the project’s contribution to a more interconnected and climate-friendly Europe.
Director Peter Fahrngruber, who presented the film at the competition, also expressed his satisfaction at the international award: "The World Media Festival is one of the most prestigious competitions in the field of corporate media and documentary filmmaking. It is extremely important for a director that such a technically complex topic as the Brenner Base Tunnel receives this level of appreciation."
