PROJECT PROGRESS
Currently, around 94% of the about 230 kilometre long tunnel system has been excavated.
In order to construct the complex tunnel system efficiently, the BBT project has been divided into several construction sections, so-called construction lots. This makes it possible to proceed with multiple excavation methods simultaneously in different locations along the new line.
OVERALL PROJECT PROGRESS
Of the total of approximately 230 kilometres of tunnel to be built, 216 kilometres have been excavated for the BBT tunnel system to date.
