The Brenner Base Tunnel at the Rimini Meeting 2026
Rimini Meeting 2026: Shortening distances, connecting regions, and transporting people and goods sustainably. Das sind die Kernziele des Brenner Basistunnels – und genau darum ging es bei der diesjährigen Ausgabe der Messe.
From 21 to 26 August, BBT SE was represented with its own stand in the pavilion of the Italian Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (MIT), the impressive “Galassia Infrastrutture.” The Brenner Base Tunnel is one of the important stars in this “galaxy” of modern mobility.
Interest in our project was enormous: Whether industry professionals or families, visitors of all ages were equally fascinated by the benefits and opportunities offered by the mobility of tomorrow.
The Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, Matteo Salvini, also visited our stand. This provided an opportunity to update him in person on the progress of the project, including the completion, on 25 August, of the excavation works by the TBM “Wilma” on the H53 Pfons-Brenner construction site in the west main tunnel.
