Europe on rails: the Brenner Corridor Platform meets in Verona

The Brenner Corridor Platform (BCP) met today in Verona for its annual plenary session, reaffirming the importance of a fully harmonised and interoperable Munich-Verona railway corridor.

Under the chairmanship of European Coordinator Pat Cox, railway experts from Germany, Austria, and Italy presented the results of the working groups that are defining common standards to ensure cross-border rail operations without technical or administrative barriers.

The Brenner Base Tunnel, together with its access routes, will be the core of this continental axis: an infrastructure that connects regions, people, and economies, and represents a concrete step towards a more efficient and sustainable European rail transport system.

BBT SE is proud to contribute to this process of cooperation, which strengthens the role of the Scandinavian-Mediterranean Corridor as a driver of integration and competitiveness for Europe.
